What is a water bike?
A water bike, also known as a water bike or bike-boat, is a bicycle supported by two floats, allowing you to move independently by pedaling. The catamaran configuration provides excellent stability in all conditions.
Each bike comes with a front basket, placed directly on the handlebars. Upon request and at no additional cost, you can add an inflatable PVC mattress placed directly on the floats to carry your dog (weighing 20 kg). Another accessory available upon request is a child seat (weighing 15 kg).
Guided water bike excursions in Procida
The Pro Bike amateur sports association organizes all excursions with at least one expert guide, and they always take place in groups, ensuring complete safety, thanks also to life jackets.
The excursions last 2 hours.
The departure and return point is Corricella, the small harbor with its colorful houses.
Thanks to the smaller size of the bicycles, unlike the traditional boat tour, you can also visit the nearby Bue Marino Cave from inside. The guided tour is suitable for everyone, provided they are at least 120 cm tall and weigh no more than 120 kg, as it does not include a complete tour of the island, but focuses primarily on the Corricella/Chiaia Bay area.
The schedule of excursions may vary depending on sunrise and sunset times. Generally, we prefer to go out during the cooler hours of the day: at dawn, early morning, and sunset.
The bicycles are also equipped with LED lights for use in the evening.
